This past weekend i was invited by one of my colleagues to visit him and his family in Tongeren, a city just over the Dutch border near Maastricht. Bourgondic dinner, plenty of drinks, Playstation 3 and a long walk summs up the weekend in a very decent fashion. On Sunday we stopped by Den Bosch and enjoyed the Kermis.
We are getting pretty creative within my company as where to meet eachother. Having a Benelux organization you tend to meet half way; Brecht and Breda are among the favorites. This time, however, the meeting was to take place in Sluis, Zeeland, a neat 250km drive from Amsterdam.
This past weekend i took a couples days off to chill in France. After a period of heavy rains and sunshine the flowers in the surroundings looked amazing!
Normally I figure out surprise parties, but this one was very, very, VERY well hidden. I was astonished to find a full fledged party at Jubin's place with most of my friends! A special thanks to all, especially Yayoi!!! Nils, awesome that you came as well, hope the party weekend went soft on you this Monday!
Always on or near my birthday, the City of Amsterdam celebrates Gay Pride. One of the highlights during the festivities are the floats through the Prinsengracht. An impression:
Last weekend I could not resist the temptation of curly fries after an intense day of providing moving assistance and pretending to be a truck driver. In good Dutch fashion the fries were drenched in mayonnaise. Yummie!
